Slightly convex disk. Face side is polished, multiple concentrical lines from spinning on reverse side. Half of the mirror, several cracks. Original polish on face side is still preserved and reflecting images.D. 4.3" (10.9 cm).

Cast bronze. Flat disk. Corroded iron fragment riveted to disk with two bronze rivets, indicating earlier existing iron handle. Bent, several dents. D. 6.3" (16 cm).

GREEK BRONZE MIRROR

Forged bronze. Concave side of the disk has thickened and raised rim; the convex side is polished and decorated with punched dots along the perimeter. Bronze flat handle of parabolic form with half-circle termination at the free end, secured to concave side with three rivets. Handle is broken in several places and mended.
D. 5.8" (14.8 cm), H. 9.4" (23.9 cm).

Most likely this mirror was cast as one piece. When the handle was broken, it was riveted to the disk. Portion of circumference still bears handle protrusion where handle was snapped off.

Most likely being round originally, it was broken in ancient times and trimmed to achieve symmetry.

GREEK BRONZE MIRROR VI c. B.C.

Cast bronze large flat disc, polished on both sides. Handle is bi-metal: rectangular iron middle portion and bronze oval-shaped terminations with rectangular protrusions flush with iron. The upper termination, with cut out half-round notches from both sides, has a slit where disk was inserted and secured with four bronze rivets.
D. 7.1" (18 cm), H. 13.3" (33.8 cm).
