Greek stamped amphora

Early 4 century: 390-380 BCE
Heraclea Pontica

Light brown-beige fabric with inclusions of sand and dark grit. Conical body tapering to a short narrow biconical peg toe, hollowed;  rounded shoulder merging with long wide neck; Handles with oval cross-section  from top of neck to shoulder. Two-line englyphic stamp on upper neck: IA/ KΟA – Early Magistrate “IA”, published.
Lime deposits. Ancient chip at the rim, otherwise intact. Comes with custom made solid brass tripod stand.
