Late Roman C Ware Dish with Combed Decoration

Late 4th–first half of the 5th century A.D.
Orange fabric with a thin red-orange slip covering the entire surface except for the exterior of the base.
Shallow, curved body with a broad flaring rim. Flat base, hollowed on the underside to form a false foot. The interior floor is decorated with two zones of combed lines enclosed by grooves. Wavy combed decoration on the exterior of the rim.
Mended from three fragments. Lime deposits.
Height: 1.3 in. (3.3 cm). Diameter: 8.8 in. (22.4 cm).
