Late Roman Black-Slip Stamped Dish

Gray fabric with a black slip covering the entire surface except for the exterior of the base.
Vertical wall with a quarter-rounded rim and a groove immediately below. Flat base with a slightly recessed central area enclosed by a groove. The interior is stamped with a central lozenge-shaped motif with concentric circles at each corner, surrounded by three rouletted circles enclosed by grooves.
Intact. Soil deposits and some root marks.
Height: 1.6 in. (4.1 cm). Diameter: 9.9 in. (25.1 cm).
