II-III centuries A.D.
Hand-formed standing male figure, head with prominent ears and arms outstretched. Wearing a short mantle. An oversized phallus dangling from underneath the mantle. Both legs and phallus are free moving, perforated and suspended from a horizontal axle entering through perforations on either side of mantle. Additional perforation at top of head. Intact. H. 6.5″(16.5 cm).
Originally, legs and phallus could be moved by a string through the perforation at the head. Perhaps a figure of an actor from Satyr-Play or other farce related to Dionysos. For similar see: Ribakov B.A.
